Taken from their upcoming debut album, Girlhood’s latest single is the soulful ‘The Love I Need’. Hints towards hip-hop and blues are drenched with an overt, sing-along gospel style that is present throughout the tune. The attention to detail throughout the catchy, perfectly arranged and delightfully mixed track comes down to the fact that it was the first to be written and the last to be finished for the album. They explain that the basis of the track is “rooted in our need to communicate, understand and be understood. This is the love I need”.
